The official coffee of St. Joseph's University! SJBrew is a blend of medium roast, washed processed Central and South American coffees. When creating the blend with SJU, we wanted to find the perfect balance between the ideal pick-me-up and the cozy companion to a day off . With the right blend and quality beans, SJBrew is the perfect cup for that late night study session or early morning class!
The secret is in the coffees we source and the consistency in our roasting process. We source SCA scoring 84 point plus coffees from certified organic growers in Latin America. We rotate these out in 6 months or less to keep things fresh with the seasons. We seek out coffees with medium acidity and medium to high sweetness. After roasting fresh weekly on our Loring smart roasters the result is a cup with notes of dark chocolate, cooked apple, molasses, cherry, and almond.
