



Stocking Stuffers - Llama on the Shelf
It’s that time of year in our coffee factory where the elves are busy roasting and packing our holiday blend – Llama on the Shelf! We are blending a washed process Colombia and a honey process Uganda for this offering. In the cup you will be met with comforting and rich notes of dark cocoa, cherry and molasses. Cozy up to a hot mug or pour some in your thermos for a day out and about, this coffee is the perfect pick me up for a busy time of year.
UGANDA
Mabono Honey is a micro mill run by Mountain Harvest. It is located in a small community of smallholder farmers nestled up in the mountains. The ripe coffee cherries are centrally processed here, floated, pulped, and placed on raised beds for drying with full mucilage until 11% moisture content is reached.
Uthman Muluwa, Processing Lead of Mabono, buys cherries and processes them with a team of Assistants. At the station Mountain Harvest also demonstrates to farmers with little access to processing and agronomy education how to invest in their farm businesses with new techniques towards better productivity and quality.
COLOMBIA
Palestina Blend is a coffee from a specific selection of producers located in the upper part of the municipality of Palestina, at approximately 1,700 meters above sea level. This group of producers has established itself in the cultivation of coffee varieties such as Tabi and Caturra, in an area of approximately 2,750 hectares. Due to the conditions and microclimate, the coffees from this region differ from the rest of Huila in that they are more acidic and delicate, with fruity notes.
