Backyard Beans Energy Bites Recipe

Now you don’t have to choose between rushing out the door with either your morning coffee or a bite to eat – you can have both! These bites are a tasty, filling, caffeine packed treat for any time of day.

  • Stir together: 1 cup dry whole grain oatmeal, ½ cup ground flaxseed, and 2 tbsp fresh ground “unused” coffee beans (we recommend a medium roast – check out our Breakfast Blend).
  • Once the above ingredients are thoroughly mixed, add in: ½ cup creamy almond or peanut butter, ¼ cup honey, and 1 tsp vanilla.
  • Once well combined, stir in: ¼ cup chocolate chips and ¼ cup dried cranberries. Stir well.
  • Let chill in refrigerator for 20 minutes; then roll into balls (approx 10-12 balls per recipe).
  • Store in an airtight container and keep up to 1 week in the fridge.
