DRAMA, DRAMA, DRAMA! Celebrating 8 years of Family Drama

It’s hard to believe it’s been 8 years since the release of Family Drama—our fall seasonal blend that always stirs up excitement. Back then, life looked a little different: we had just opened our Lansdale cafe, we were figuring out a shiny new 15 kilo Loring roaster, and our oldest daughter was just one year old (Does anyone remember a baby roaming the cafe in her rolling walker??).
Fast forward to today: that little one is now nine, with two sisters (ages seven and five) to keep her company. We’ve graduated from one roaster to three (75, 30, and 15 kilo)! And while a lot has changed, one thing hasn’t—life in the Adams household is still full of drama 🤪
But let’s be honest—family drama isn’t just ours. With the holidays around the corner, there’s plenty to go around. Talking to neighbors recently, it seems we all have a similar experience. We’re talking kids fighting over the last dinner roll, relatives bringing up politics at the table, group texts blowing up with “What time are we eating???”—and that one brother who’s always late anyway (...coughMattcough). Add in cookie-fueled meltdowns and board game arguments, and you’ve got yourself a full season.
Ah yes, good times. Let’s look closer at the coffee we can drink to center and celebrate:

This year, Family Drama is starring two stand-out coffees:
Guatemala San Martin Jilotepeque—Grown high in the mountains, this organic coffee delivers rich, chocolaty flavor with notes of brown sugar, honey, raisin, and milk chocolate. It comes from farmers who are part of Asproguate, an association where women make up 55% of the membership and producers gather for monthly workshops on organic farming practices.
Nicaragua San Juan del Río Coco—A clean, classic cup with caramel, chocolate, orange, cinnamon, and butterscotch notes. These beans come from farmers supported by the Winds of Peace Foundation, a non-profit that helps communities get greater value for their coffee—providing three payments instead of the usual one or two. We even got to host some of the community leaders at our roastery this summer, and we were blown away by the quality.
Together, they create a cozy, medium roast blend that’s smooth, balanced, and perfect for fall.
Family Drama makes a perfect thank you to bring to your host, an easy win for serving your holiday guests, a GREAT white elephant gift, or just a well-deserved treat for yourself when you need a quiet moment away from the chaos.
Available now—grab a bag in our cafés, online, or at your local farmers market, and bring a little peace (and a lot of good coffee) to your holiday season.
